The first high prize for gentlemen went to Mr. Ed Post, a smoking set Mr. Paul Whisnant won the second high, a pack of cigarettes. At the! close of the party the hostesses j were assisted by Mesdames Dexter Lee. Basil Goode, Frazier Patton, and B W. Miss McBrayer Becomes Bride Of George Cox In a ceremony of exceptional beauty and impressiveness Miss Ailen Logan McBrayer and Georye W. Cox were wedded Saturday af1 ernoon at 5 o’clock at 11 ip home of the bride’s parents. Mr and Mrs. Robert Lloyd Sing, at 527 Lamar avenue. Chariot**, Rev. C. W. Dur den. pastor of Saint John's Baptist church, officiating The home was beautifully Jeto rated with white chrysanthemums and ivy. A trellis of white entwin ed with ivy and studded with white flowers separated the music room and drawing room. A background of palms and white chrysanthemums and branched candlesticks holding ivory tapers formed the setting for the lovely ceremony. The nuptial music was rendered by Miss Kathleen Young of Shelby and Mrs. Herbert Vowell of Colum bia, S. C. Mrs. Vowell sang "I Love You Truly" and "Alt For You." The wending march from Lohengrin was .played as the bridal party en tered and during the ceremony Miss Young played MftcDowell's "To a W lid Rose " Misses Mary and Margaret Mc Braycr. twin-sisters of the bride, held the ribbons which formed an aisle for the bridal party. They wore beaded frocks in two-toned shades of blue and carried bouquets of Premier roses Miss Grace Kinder of Kingstree, S. C.. and Charlotte, was maid of honor, She was attired in Persian green flat, crepe with mink trim mings and wore a green and gold turban. Her flowers were Columbia rases. Robert Lloyd Sing, jr., young brother of the bride. was ring bearer. He wore a white satin suit and carried the ring on a pillow. The bride was given in marriage by her father and the bridegroom had as his best man. George W Wray. The bride wore a handsome Pc - tou model of Royal purple chiffon velvet and a close fitting hat of cloth of gold. She carried a shower bouquet of Talisman roses and till-: of the valley. After a reception the young cou ple left via motor for & two weeks trip to Daytona Beach and other Florida resorts. The bride traveled in a wool crepe suite of navy ome with egg-shell blouse and blue ac cessories. On their return to Char lotte Mr. and Mrs. Cox will m all home at 2133 Kirkwood avenue : i — ..— !
