Miss Bennonau Tyner and Mr. lawrence L, Sloan were married Saturday Dec. 19th in Shelby in a very quiet ceremony. There were no attendants. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. John Benson T yner of Shelby but has made her home in Charlotte for several years. Mr, Sloan Is a resident of Charlotte and formerly of West Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Sloan are now on i heir wedding trip to Philadelphia and other northern points. Where the Members j do not ha\e any more money, it was j decided to receive ail marketable | produce and allow a cash market price for same. Bring corn, wheat, meat, chickens, eggs, dried fruit, cotton seed and anything that can be used. Any amount will be receiv ed large or small. It is understood that 80 cents per hundred will be allowed for all cotton seed brought to be applied on the church budget. We want to raise something over $200 that day. Let every member of the church come and any friend of the church and let us raise every cent of the budget and then we are to gather in the meeting house about 12 for a prayer and praise service. On Christmas Eve I Daughter of Dean of Junior College Weds South Carolina Teacher. (Special to The Star.) Boiling Springs, Dec. 26.—In a ceremony marked by simplicity and beauty Miss Evelyn Louise Hug gins and Mr. Charles Chandler Prince were married at the home of the bride's parents in Boiling Springs on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The green and white color scheme was effectively carried out through out the lower floor of the home. Cedar, ivy and the white berried mistletoe were used in profusion. The soft glow of white tapers in ordelabra on either side of the al tar illuminated the scene. Mrs. Mobley of Fair Forest, S. C„ aunt of the bride. rendered the wedding music. Little Miss Ella Lancaster Jones, fairy like In a long white ruffled net frock over white satin, preceded the bride to the altar bearing the ring on a white satin pillow. Since her graduation she has taught music in the Lattimore school. Mr. Prince Is a son of Mrs. J. C. Prince of Spartanburg, S. C.
