Much Damage Is Done To Houses
Livestock And
Forest*.
Lincoln County News.
The worst storm which has been
in East Lincoln section for a num
ber of years occurred last night.
Amopg the damages was the com
plete destruction of the new dwell
ing 'of Mr. R. P. Aiken*. The house
is too badly damaged to be repair
ed. A houses belonging to Mr. Mc
Lean Cherry was badly wrecked
and removed 'from its foundation"
A sixty by ’twenty foot chicker,
house belonging to Mr. Robt. Nix
on, Jr., was blown five hundred
yards from-its foundation. Twenty
five large pines on the old Triangle
school property were broken down
The gin house belonging to the
Cherry Bros., was torn down. Mr. J
I. Cherry's cow barn was torn to
pieces, Mr. R. J. Nixon lost his barn
and other buildings and one of hts
mules was killed. Almost every resi
dent of this section suffered some
damage.
