Marion, May 5.—A Penny-a-meal club has just been formed here to raise money for helping the needy and to centralise the relief work being done by a number of other organizations. Tills club Is the outgrowth of ef forts that have been made for some time to establish an agency for aid ing the unfortunate, so that all lo cal charitable organizations may work through It and thus avoid duplications of help In some places and gaps in others. Each member of the club will be furnished a container Into which he Is to drop a penny. or more, at each meal.
