There wasn't anything un usual about that: I go nearly every time 1 get hold to a clime, and that's nearly once every month. Our picture shows take half of the time to explain what they are go ing to exploit from now on. After they got thru telling us on the screen what picture they would have Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurs day, Friday, Saturday, next week week after next, week after that and several more weeks, the main feature began. This was n talking picture, but the couple in front of me did ail of the talking. Thej^ were In love Anybody could tell that from the way they leaned on one another. Every little while she's look at him and grin -like a screech owl and say. "Joe. your hand is just ns cool,’’ And he’d sav, "That means a hot heart honey." This was the first, couple 1 ever saw that could court, cat goober.-, enjoy a picture, hug, chew gum. bump heads, and look at a picture at the same time. He ran a filling station; 1 could tell by the gaso line. She clerked in a store, she had 2 lipsticks with her. Her head was so bushy It looked like a bush. He had his head mussed up too. He was a "not hat'' type boy. They talked about the picture occasionally, but they did not seem to understand it very well. Evety time the hero would kiss the shero, they would lean harder and hard er against one another. They sat like this occasionaly (o-o>, but most of the time, they sat like this too). They couldn't discern the differ ence between pathos and fun: they both laughed at. the wrong times. A picture house aint a very good place to make love. This boy and that girl had no idea that there was anybody else in the theatre ex cept them, the other 750 souls were not of a single thought—whose hearts beat as one—like their souls COMMISSION*.ITS SALK OF VALlABLE REAL ESTATE Under and by virtue of the authority conferred upon me by the clerk of the aupartor court of Cleveland countv. SEABOARD Air Line Railway Highway Soon To Mt Mitchell’s Top Stair Highway Commission is Plan ning to Build Ilartl-Surfare On Scenic Route Kaieign in. c,—m ih.v ncnn Car olina will have a state highway to the top of the tallest mountain, Mount Mitchell, if the Ptate High way commission completes plans now' under contemplation. At the present time, there is not a single state highway extending to the top of any of the state's more impor tant mountains, the only way to get to the tops of these mountains be ing private toll roads or United States forest service trails. For years the only way tourists and sightseers could reach the top of Mount Mitchell has been over a toll road at a cost of $1 per person— and then's stiff climo on foot of almost a mile. At its meeting here last week, the Highway commission authorized a survey for a new highway that will extend to within 1700 yards of the tower on the summit, This new sur vey will start at Buswick. cn route 104, that connects with route 69 at Micaville and with route 10 a few miles west of Marion. Much of the cost of building this load will be paid for from funds allotted to the U. S. forest service, since most ot Mount Mitchell is within the Pis gah National Forest. Because of the dense growth on Mitchell, the new survey will probably not be started until this fall, when the leaves are off the-trees. Chairman Jeffress Offer* His Wife Cemetery Lot For Her Alimon?
