University Closes On Account Of Flu Lexington, Va., Dec 14,—Wash ington and Lee university will be closed tomorrow on acocunt of the prevalence of tnfluenza. Dr. Francis Pendleton Gaines, president of the university said the move was made as a precautionary measure, and the school would be closed until January 2. the expira tion of the Christmas holidays. Forty-six cases of the malady w'ere reported at the university to day. Although the number had in creased from 18 since Saturday. Dr. Gaines said it had not reached an epidemic stage.
