Oct. 18-During tlie last five year Gaston county has come to the front. as one of the large wheat growing sections of North Carolina, it la revealed in the 1935 Federal Farm census on which reports are to be soon given the public. The Increase as to wheat In the county has been 90 per cent in both acreage and production. The report wilt show that wheat totaled 9 076 acres and 96.080 bushels last year as compared with 4.701 acres and 50 246 bushels in 1929.
