New Fee Sched Some Will Be R< A revision of the counly's building < fee schedule should be easier to understand and will also result in smaller fees for some construction projects, according to Brunswick County Planning Director John Harvey. However, new fees were added for several inspections required by the state that were not previously included on the schedule. Commissioners approved the revisions at their Monday night meeting. Harvey said the changes came about after Commissioner Benny l.udlurn pointed out that there was a misconception that the method used lo determine values for projects would make its way into the tax revaluation. The revised schedule is based on simpler formulas. '.Villi the new schedule, for example. there would be no charge for Imilrlinp fftnctniplinn ..f conditioned spaces 300 square feet in i size or less. Currently the charge is 1 $35. i Also, a slight reduction results for asphalt drives and parking lots, now in a separate category.
