The Trojan .IV played perhaps its
best game of the year last Friday
edging Hoggard 52-4'J. The win
avenged an earlier lass at Hoggard
;k: and was West Brunswick's second of
the year.
"This was our biggest win of the
season. Our intensity level stayed
high the entire game and we never let
up." said West Brunswick coach
David Cobb.
"Our rebounding improved greatly.
In fact, we haven't rebounded this
good in a single game since the
season-opening win against Topsail."
Dino Daniels received individual
praise from Cobb having led the
Troajns with 21 poinLs and connecting
on eight of 12 attempts from the
field.
Hoggard led 15-12 at the end of the

Socastee exploded with a 49-point
second half to down an expired Trojan
JV squad for the second time
01-15.
Despite trailing 15-8 at the end of
the first ouarler. West Brunswick
picked up the pace and ran to a 20-21
iialflimc lead.
I lowcvcr, it was the only offensive
spark the Trojans would have for the
game as Socastee dominated play
throughout the second half.
"We have lacked the ability to put
together four good quarters in one
game all season," said new West
Brunswick coach David Cobb. "The
entire team seemed to have a let
down in the second half."
"We have continued to improve the
past two weeks hut have been unable
to keep our intensity up at a high
level for a whole game."
Socastec erased the Trojan load in
the third quarter and took a 1*8-35 advantage
at the end of the period.
The Itraves continued to pull away
in the final period outscoring West
Brunswick 23-10 enroute to the final
16-point margin.
Eric Simmons led SVest Brunswick
with 10 points while Kicky Smith had
17 aiui Kddic linker 10 for Socastee.
