We are unprepared for the death of a contemporary, especially a wife or husband, the sole person to whom we are related not by biological caprice, but by conscious choice. Trauma from the death of a spouse is rivaled only by that of a child. Though we are never prepared for life’s most heart rendering finality, by thoughtful pre-planning we can provide helpful assistance to our survivors. Pre planning is an act of love.
