Babsons Have To Host Visit A Second Son Gallery Features Group Show Works by members of the Wilm ington Art Association will be on ex hibit during September at the Franklin Square Gallery in downtown Southport. Brooks Pearce, publicity chairper son, said the artists have styles that range from abstract to seascapes. .Media featured include oils, water- colors, pastels and ink. The Brunswick Town Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host the state DAR of ficers’ Sept. 21 visit to District 9, part of their annual fall district tour. Meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the N.C. Baptist Assembly on Oak Island, the state officers and chairmen will discuss plans for the year's work, give out specific instructions and distribute information packets to all chapter regents. Quilting, Lace Workshops Set Workshops by the Brunswick Coun ty Extension Service offer oppor tunities to leam to make a machine- quilted jacket and Battenburg lace for collars, trims and tablecloths. The jacket workshop will be held Sept. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sept. 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the extension office in Bolivia. There is no charge; however, par ticipants must furnish materials for their own jackets. Class size is limited to eight.
