suspended sentence last week in
Brunswick County District Criminal
Court after being convicted of check
forgery.
Rosemary Hall. 1!'. of East
Leonard Street. Southport, entered
guilt\ pleas last Wednesday to four
counts of common law forgery, according
to the Brunswick County
Clerk of Court's office.
Judge Jerry A. Jolly sentenced Ms.
Hall to two consecutive two-year
prison terms, both suspended for five
years with five years of supervised
probation.
Also, she was ordered to pay $865 in
restitution to two banks. $150 attorney
fees and court costs.
Court records showed that Ms. Hall
was arrested Feb. 16 by the

merit on four counts of forgery and
uttering. She was released on a $2,000
unsecured bond.
Three of the checks were taken
from the residence of Dr. Norman
iiornsleiu of Southpurt and were
passed for a total of $040 on Dec. 17,
1087 The fourth check belonged to
Emily Blake of Southport and was
passed for $225 on Jan. 11.
