Willard Franklin Ferrell Sr., 70, of I liong Beach, died May 28 in Dosher Memorial Hospital, Southport. A memorial graveside service was held May 31 in Wilmington National Cemetery, Wilmington. A native of North Adams, Mass., he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a ^ member of the Boiling Spring Lakes VFW and the Oak Island Moose Lodge. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Agnes Todd Knox of Southport; a brother, Stuart Knox of Southport; and a sister.
