I South A Myrtle Beach, S.C., woman received a probationary prison sentence last week in Brunswick County District Criminal Court after she admitted to forging checks that were passed at two Shallotte grocery stores. Kathey B. Faile, 35, of 65th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to five counts of common law forgery, according to the Brunswick County Clerk of Court's office. Judge D. Jack Hooks Jr. sentenced I Ms. Faile to a $500 fine and five conI secutive two-year prison terms, each suspended for five years, with five years of supervised probation. S Also, she was ordered to pay court costs, a $150 court-appointed attorney fee and $1,298.62 in restitution K to the Hill's and Piggly Wiggly supermarkets in Shallotte. Court documents show that Ms. Ir ane was cnarged by Shallotte Police with three counts of forgery and uttering on June 18 and July 20.
