As East Side Assembly the church, which will be three years old Christmas week, was formerly housed in the old Powell Funeral Home building in Shallotte. It relocated this week to the old UCB/Skippergraphics building at the corner of Main and Caroline streets. The name change, said spokesman Sandy Pigott, is to clarify that the church is not affiliated with the Assemblies of God. Rather it is a nondenominational full-gospel church. Its pastor, the Rev.
