quarter dean's list at Cape Fear
Community College in Wilmington.
To be placed on the dean's list, a
full-time student must earn a grade
point average of 3.50 or above, with

Underwood Joins
Coast Toasters Toastmasters Club
of Shallotte on Dec. 6 accepted as its
newest member Vann Underwood of
Whiteville.
Underwood is employed by Wells
Pontiac of Whiteville as a sales
representative. His membership
sponsor was Alan Holden of Holden
Beach.
Toastmasters is an international
organization^dedicated to helping
men and women become better communicators
and leaders by improving
their speaking, listening and
thinking skills.
The "learn by doing" club meets

Jacqueline Eileen McKeithan was
conferred a bachelor of science
degree in criminal justice during
inid-year commencement exercises
held Dec. 3 by East Carolina University
in Greenville.
She is the daughter of Marvin and
Regina McKeithan of Route 2,
Bolivia, and a graduate of South
Brunswick High School.
McCracken Graduates
Sgt. Adrian C. McCracken has
graduated from the U.S. Air Force's
noncommissioned officer leadership
school, where he studied leadership,
management and supervision techni
ques.
McCracken is a refrigeration and
air conditioning specialist with the
507th Tactical Air Control Center
Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.
He is the son of George R. and Addie
C. McCracken of Southport and a
1984 graduate of South Brunswick
High School, Boiling Spring Lakes.
