At right, Eric Carpenter of Supply shows his winning style in the Rain Gutter Regatta held last Saturday by Cub Scout Pack 227, which is sponsored by Camp United Methodist Church. His fleet craft sped across the 10-foot distance in 11 seconds, though there were a few moments of peril. Among the 15 Cubs participating were (below, from left) third-place finisher Clinton Rountree, second-place finisher Westley Fenton, Peter Macon, Scott Macon, Patrick Covil, Jordan Reeves, Eric Carpenter, fourth-place finisher Nicholas Carpenter and Cliff Cheek.
