Hampstead Honors Spots One of the smallest fish in the sea will reign supreme next month at the North Carolina Spot Festival at Hampstead. The 26th annual event is scheduled for Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. The festival starts Friday, Sept. 29, with the N.C. Spot Festival Princess Pageant and a street dance. On Saturday, festival goers can enjoy arts and crafts, a security police guard dog demonstration and the festival's famous spot fish din ner. A golf tournament is also on the schedule of events.
