Students Collect Recyclables

load newspaper bundles last Wednesday on the last day of a two-week recycling contest between the
seventh-grade science classes of Anna Rogers, Harvey Rash and Donna Crews. The project, which
netted more than 8,400 pounds of recyclable materials, was coordinated by the Volunteers for
Recycling organization at Sunset Beach. Rash's fourth-section science class won the contest. Prizes
were a pizza party at Pizza Hut , Shallotte, and $25 from the Brunswick County Keep America
Beautiful program.
