Adjustment Board Postpones Hearing The Holden Bcach Zoning Board of Adjustment postponed a variance hearing Monday when only four board members showed up for the meeting. The board was to hear a request for variance from the 20-foot back yard setback. The meeting was re scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. Chairman Allan Dameron said rules governing the board of adjust ment say a four-fifths vote is needed to grant a variance from the town zoning code. He said the board needs a ruling from the town attorney on the num ber of people needed to hear a vari ance request. Dameron also said it would be good to have the town attorney at board of adjustment meetings since anyone who wants to appeal a board decision docs so through Brunswick County Superior Court.
