Carroll Local CAMA Permit Officer 1 10 Rothschild Street lloldcn Bcach. NC 28462 (91 9)842-6080/842-6488 Money Paid To Chamber Is Investment, Not Dues BY SUSANNE D. SARTELLE, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT South Brunswick Islands Chamber Of Commerce Rcccntly, a chambcr member asked me, "What do I really get tor the dues I pay?" First, I'd like to point out that "dues" is a word of the past. Money paid to the chambcr of commerce is an investment and, importantly, there is a definite return on your investment. Secondly, it is important to note that by invest ing in the. chambcr, you arc investing in yourself, your business and your community. Did you know that as a chambcr member, you fought several picccs of legislation this year that would have devastating effects on our area if passed? Did you know that you helped boost retail sales locally by promoting local shopping? Did you know that you increased tourism expen- SARTKl.l.K diturcs through promotion? Did you know that you helped make Brunswick the second fastest growing county in the state? Did you know that you helped small business persons to receive cd ucalion, assistance and recognition? The list of your accomplishments goes on. Every business is a vital part of the chambcr, and every person's input and talenLs arc needed to keep the circlc revolving. Your investment in the chamber gives you a voice.. .a voicc that is magnified about 425 times. If you've never invested, consider it now. you make a difference.
