CEDAR GROVE AREA NEWS
Service Will Honor Mothers
BY BARBARA T. HEWETT
Early in this century some of our
j leaders were
wise enough to
have a Sunday
set aside just to
remind mothers
that they are as
flowers, giving
always a sweet
aroma and
beauty in the
1 eyes of the be
holder.
HEWETT
Even the carnations made into
corsages seem to represent a
Christian mother's love, never let
ting go of the petals even when they
arc as dry as a powder house. As
they get old, the petals instead curl
toward the center of the flower.
The observance of Mother's Day
throughout America gives a feeling
of unity in every culture, regardless
of creed or race. Cedar Grove
Missionary Baptist Church joins in
this annual observance the second
Sunday of May.
