Survivors include his wife, Eliza
beth H. Anderson of Brunswick
Cove Nursing Home; a son, James
Thomas Anderson of Fayctteville;
three daughters, Betty Young and
Jean Sweat of Sunset Harbor and
Nell Holcombc of Holdcn Beach; a
sister, lva Mac Hardee of Sumter,
S.C.; 21 grandchildren; and 21
great-grandchildren.

Carl Wayne Bailey, 56, of Nash
ville, Tcnn., formerly of Lcland,
died June 21 in Nashville, Tenn.
The funeral was held June 24 in
Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home in
Nashville, Tcnn.
Survivors include his wife, Doro
thy Bailey of the home; a sister,
Jackie Crainshaw of Lcland; and a
brother, Edgar C. Bailey Jr. of
Wilmington.

Augusta Davis Moore, 72, of
Southport, died June 23 in Doshcr
Memorial Hospital, Southport.
A memorial service was to be
held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at
St. Philip's Episcopal Church by the
Rev. Frank Ross. Burial was to be
in St. Philip's Episocopal Memorial
Gardens.
Members of the Brunswick
County Sheriff's Department were
to serve as an honor guard.
Mrs. Moore was born Nov. 21 in
Southport, daughter of the late will
Sellers and Eula Carr Davis.
She was a member of St. Philip's
Episocopal Church, where she had
served on the altar guild. She work
ed with her husband in his business.

sons, Paul Merrill Moore of Raleigh

nieces.

Thomas Jerry Lewis, 49, of Route
3, Shallottc, died June 24 at his
home.
The funeral was to be held today
(Thursday) at 3 p.m. in Shallottc
First Baptist Church with the Rev.
Landis Lancaster and the Rev. Jim
my Carlisle officiating. Burial wwas
to be in Chapel Hill Cemetery,
Shallottc.
Bom in Shallottc June 29, 1941,
he was the son of Lctha Hcwett of
Shallottc and the late Elmer Mooncy.
He was a U.S. Army veteran,
having served in the Vietnam War.
Survivors in addtiion to his moth
er include a son, Jerry Dcwaync
Lewis of Shallottc; seven brothers.
