rectly identified another bridesmaid.

The double ring ceremony was
officiated by the Rev. Dan Bennett.
The bride is the daughter of Billy
Wayne Babson ol Bolivia and
Martha Mint/. Myers of Ash.
The groom is the son of Liston
and Ruby Hawcs of Ash.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white gown featur
ing a scalloped V-scoopcd neckline
and puffed sleeves with fitted arms.
The dress was accented with seed
pearls and sequins, a V waist with
bow in back and a train with peek
a-boo lace. Her waist-length veil
was accented with seed pearls and
sequins. She carried a cascading
bouquet of gardenias, stephanotis
and ivy with ribbons and streamers
of pearls.
Annette Brown of Summcrville,
S.C., sister of the bride, served as
maid of honor. Bridesmaid was
Rhonda B. Nye of Old Dock, cousin
of the bride. They wore satin tea
length teal gowns with puffed
sleeves and a bow at back.
The maid of honor carried a
smaller version of the bride's bou
quet. Her bridesmaid carried a
nosegay of carnations, daisies and
babies' breath with peach and teal
ribbons.
The groom's father served as his
best man. Keith Gurganus of Ash,
brother-in-law of Ihc groom, was
the usher.
Lauren Frink, daughter of the
bride, was (lower girl. She wore a
peach tea length dress with white
iace collar and a silk flower halo of
teal and peach.
Bryan Pierce, nephew of the
groom, served as ring bearer.
The church was decorated with a
brass archway candelabra and side
candelabra, as well as baskets of
baskets of spider mums, carnations
and babies' breath accented with
pcach ribbon.
Music was provided by pianist
Delorcs Inman, playing Forever's
As Far As I (io and other wedding
music, and pianist and soloist Rhon
da Evans. She sang Fo Me and My
Only Love.
Alter a honeymoon trip, the cou
ple will make their home in Ash.
The bride is a preschool teacher
at The Kid's Connection in
Shallotte.
The groom is employed with the
Brunswick County Water System at
Lcland.
Pre-Nuptial Events
On June 23, a bridal shower was
given at the home of the groom's
mother by Sherri Hughes, Cindy
Gurganus, Sandra Long and Jo Ann
Larrimorc.
Another shower was given at the
new home of the couple by Dcanna
Yarbourough, Rhonda Nye and
Janet Simmons.
