Clemmons , Moore Married At Mt. Pisgah In Supply Brciula Kay Clemmons and Michael Richard Min>re Sr. were married July 6 in a 5 p.m. candle light ceremony at Ml. Pisgah Baptist Church. Supply. The Rev. Kenneth Benton, uncle ol the bride, officiated the double ring ceremony. Music was per formed by Sonya Brown, soloist, and Loretui Hewett, pianist. Special music perlormcd by the soloist. Sonya Brown included You Light Up My Life and The First lime I Loved Forever; also a prere corded selection ol Ml My Life by Aaron Seville and Linda Rond standi was played as a special song for the couple. The church archway was decorat ed with candles, spiral candles, uni ty candle, prayer bench and (lowers ol aqua, soft peach and white. The vestibule was decorated with wed ding bells and window candles. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J mimic Ashley Clemmons of Supply. The gnx>m is the son of Mrs. Carol Vaden of Winston-Salem and Hddie M<x>re of North Myrtle Beach. S.C. Given in marriage by her father, Ms. Clemmons wore a white bridal satin gown with a Queen Anne neckline, basque bodice and sleeves adorned with iace and seed pearls. It featured a pouff peplum on dropped waist and semi-cathedral train with cut-out detail of lace and beads. The headpiece was a beaded venise lace empire crown w ith back pouff and a lace-edged fingertip veil and blusher. She carried a bouquet of peach roses and miniature white mums w ith greenery. Ann Hucks of Gause Landing was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jackie Nlillik.cn. Robin Farm cr. Tina Hcwell. all friends ol the bride, anil Amy Caison. her cousin. I hey wore identical ai|ua gow ns v uh sabrina necklines, plunging V backs, Icg-o-multon sleeves with t.illeta sashes anil bow accents on the elongated waists. Ms. Mucks carried two long steniined peach roses streamed in aqua, peach and white. The brides maids carried single peach roses. The groom's lather served as his best man. Groomsmen were Brian Clemmons. nephew ol the bride: J oi l Crvsson and Pete Chalfin, brothers-in-law of the groom. both from Winston-Salem: and Terry Godwin. friend of the groom. Flower girl was Cassi Fanner, daughter of Robin and Tracey Farmer, friends of the bride. She wore a while gown with satin basque bodice, hand-beaded em broidery. jeweled neckline, ruffled skirt and waist bow. She carried a basket of silk flowers. Ring bearer was Addison Otto way. cousin of the groom, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Ottoway. He wore a double-breasted black suit and carried the rings on a handmade pillow. A reception for the ncwlyweds was held at the fellowship hall at Ml. Pisgah. Servers were Nettie Jane Taylor and Cheryl Hollis, aunts of the bride: Jackie Shelly rod Lois Caison, cousins of the bride. Gene Weavil, cousin of the grixMii. The bride's table was decorated with a double candelabra and sprays of aqua and peach mums. The groom wore a black tailcoat with pique shirt, vest and ue. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with lies to match the bridesmaids' gowns. MRS. MICHAEl. RICHARD MOORE SR. ... Miss Brenda Kay Clemmuns Mother of i ho hride wore a blue grey tea-length formal with floral lace overlay ami lace sleeves. Mother ol the groom wore a pink tea-length formal with a layered sheer chifon that tapered below the waist. The wedding and reception was directed by Lou Ellen White. Guest register was attended by Gina Chaflin, sister of the groom. Pro grams and seed were distributed by the gloom's sons, Michael Mix>re Jr. and Adam Moore. Church decorations were by Jojuann Sonimersctl, photography by Kermit Meyers and videography by Ron and Benita Herandez. A wedding reception was hosted by the bride's parents and a re hearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parent. A bridal shower was given in June by Lois and Amy Caison. A lingerie shower was giv en by Ann Hucks and Ima Hcwctl on June 22. Following a honeymoon in the mountains of North Carolina, the ncwlywcds are making their home in Calabash. The bride is employed by The Brunswick Beacon of Shalloltc and is a 1983 graduate of West Bruns wick High School. The groom is employed by Carolina 1'ower and Light Co. in Southport and is a I97X graduate ol Parkland High School. Gates To Speak Donald Gates, crime prevention officer with the Brunswick County Sheriffs Department, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Brunswick County Chapter of NARFE. NARFE, or the National Associ ation of Retired Federal Employees, meets Tuesday. Sept. 3, at 12 noon at Joe's Barbecue in Shallotte. Gates will discuss home safety, said chapter spokesman James H. Bryant. NARFE meetings arc open to the public and members and prospec tive members arc encouraged to at tend. Seniors To Meet Town Creek Senior Citizens re sume their regular monthly meet ings next week following a summer break. The club meets Thursday, Sept. 5, at I p.m. at the Town Creek Community Park on U.S. 17, said vice president Bill Dunn. Tina Pritchard of the Brunswick County Parks and Recreation Department will present an overview of the senior trips pro gram. "To me it looks exciting," Dunn said.
