staged Saturday. Nov. 2}. at Hatch
Auditorium on the campus of the
North Carolina Baptist Assembly at
Caswell Beach.
The event is an official Miss

day. while marking its 20th anniver
sary of service to the community.

second captain; Joseph Chie Jr.. first
lieutenant; and Jason Hayes, second
lieutenant.
Elected to the board of directors
were Cecil Logan. Libby Chie, Suz
anne Cain, and Greg Wood. George
Woodman continues to serve on the
board.
During the previous business
year the department responded to 32
calls to fires, rescues, or other emer
gencies or to provide mutual aid to
other departments.

lotte. celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary Saturday, Aug. 17, with
the renewal ol their wedding vows
at I'leasani View- Baptist Church in
Shallotte.
The Rev. Henry Julius Frink,
brother of the bride, officiated.
Mrs. Price is the daughter ol the
late Luther and Carrie Frink. The
groom is the son of the late Kato
and Nora Pricc.
The bride was escorted by her
brother. James F. Frink.
Their sons, Joseph and James
Price, were acolytes.
Mrs. Price's formal gown of
i\or> taffeta featured a fitted bodice
with venisc lace. Her gloves and
headpiece were fashioned of identi
cal lace. She carried a bouquet of
cream-colored roses and gardenias
tied with ribbons.
Lena Gause and Mable Jenrette
served as matrons of honor, wearing
melon orange dresses.
Also attending the bride were
Lisa Jones and Adrin Price, grand
daughters; Bertha Price, daughter
in-law; anil Tasha Price, grand
daughter-in-law. who wore dresses
in colors of the rainbow.
Their son, Joseph Price, was he si
man. Groomsmen were James F.
Frink, Kenny Jones, James A. Price
anil Joseph Price Jr.
Ushers were Klion Rlaiul and
Donme Frink.
Flower girls were the couple's
great-nieces. Missy Frink anil
Monica Frink.
Their great-nephew. Caleb T.
Frink Gore, served as ringbearer.
Music was provided by vocalists
Sandra Gore and a niece, Carolyn
Frink. Selections included I'm Still
Holding On. The Lord's I'ruyer and
(Sive Us This Day.
Scripture was read by Minister
Helen Jones, a niece ol the couple.
She also coordinated the reception
held in the church cafeteria follow
ing the ceremony.
The couple was honored with a
fellowship dinner for friends and
family members given Aug. IS by
Ethelenc Frink and Mable Jenrctte
at the Islander Restaurant at Ocean
Isle Beach.
