and was a charier member ol the
Moose Lodge in Shallotlc.

church cemetery.
Johnson was born March 28,
1919, in Bolivia to the late Thad
dcus H. and Nannie Hester Johnson.
He was a member of Aniioch Bap
tist Church anil retired from Bab
cock and Wilcox ;ls a welder. He
had also served in the U.S. Army
during World War II.
Among the survivors are his son.

Lobster's Going On The Menu For Fund Raiser
A lot of South Brunswick Islands
residents will be having friends over
for lobster come Nov. 16. or at least
that's what members of St. James
The Fisherman Episcopal Church in
Shallotte arc counting on.
Starling Sept. 15. church mem
bers will be selling tickets for live
or cooked whole Maine lobsters.
Proceeds go to the building fund for
expansion of their church facility.
Cost per lobster is SX.95, payable
in advancc, said Frances Warner,
with an additional charge of SI if
individuals want the lobster cooked
for them.
Buyers will pick up their lobsters
outside St. James between II a.m.
and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, the
day of the church women's annual
craft fair. Mrs. Warner said sponsors
hope the lobster pick-up schedule
will also draw more people inside
the church hall to the crafts event,
also a fund raiser for the building
fund.
Volunteers from the church will
deliver orders within the parish area
to any address receiving 10 or more
lobsters.

Chapel will continue into October,
with the Rev. Ned Matthews of
Gastonia as pastor this week.
He will deliver the sermon at the
11 a.m. service Sunday, Sept. 15.
