long.

Parenting Workshop Offered In Leland
Lincoln Primary School in
Leland has been offering work
shops as a result of funding from
the Brunswick County Educational
Foundation.
One of the parenting workshops
available is Lee Carter's Assertive
Discipline, which presents parents
with the skills needed in child rear
ing.
Instructors Fayc Nelson and Sue
Whiteley have led two seminars to
date, with aa>und 35 parents in at
tendance. The PTA assists with pro
motion and with arranging child
care for parents during the work
shops.
According to a school news re
lease, the response from parents
participating has been very posi
tive, and future workshops will be
offered.
