Sept. 28, at First United Methodist Church in Lexington. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard K. Cecil of Lex ington. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wray O. King and the grand son of Mrs. Clarence Price and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred O. King Jr., all of Sunset Beach. The Rev. Reginald Cooke and the Rev. Bill Sosebee officiated the double-ring, evening ceremony. The bride w as escorted by her fa ther. James Lorenz of Greensboro served as best man. Also serving the groom as ushers were David L. Cecil ol Lillington and Richard K Cecil Jr. of Raleigh, brothers of the bride: Timothy S. Hackett of Greensboro: and Julius A. King of Wilmington, brother of the groom. Maid of honor was Marilyn Leigh Knight of Lexington. Other bridesmaids were Ginger Louise King of Sunset Reach, sister of the groom: Diane Elizabeth Lindsay of Stockton. N.J.: Stacy Jean Sosebee of Lexington: and Mildred Kathleen Trantham of Greensboro. F-lower girls were Caroline Eliza beth Forrest. Sarah Elizabeth Kepley and Kynlee Meredith Morri son. all cousins of the bride. Registrars were Annette Semprit of Greensboro and Dawn Marie Brinker and Jennifer Sada Barrett, both of Lexington. Music was provided by organist Sandra Shoal, vocalist Mickey Banks Sharpe. and The Piedmont Artist Trio consisting of Betty Fouls, violin: Diane Barbee, flute and oboe; and Charles Mcdlin, cel lo. A reception was given for the newlyweds and their guests by the bride's parents at the Lexington Municipal Club. Music was provid ed by the Dunovant Trio of High Point. Hope Harbor Awarded Crime Victims Grant Hope Harbor Home, Brunswick County's shelter for victims of do mestic violence, has been awarded an SM.N16 :>:int through the Gov ernor's Crime COmmis ion. The award is part of V,".4X mil lion in federal grants distributed to drug enforcement, juvenile justice and delinquency prevention, and crime victims programs statewide, said Joe Dean, secretary of the De partment oi Crime Control and Pub lic Safety. Hope Harbor is the only Bruns wick County government or sivial service agency to receive one of the 1991 granLs awarded in Ui three ar eas: victims of crimes, drug control and system improvement and juve nile justice and delinquency preven tion. This Victims of Crime Act grant required a 20 percent local match and is for the period April 1, 1991, through June 30, 1992.
