Union Primary School Bus Riders Are Honored For Behavior
Union Primary School has begun
a bus student of the month award
program as an incentive for students
to improve their behavior while on
buses, said Sue Chapman, a school
guidance counselor.
Two students from each bus will
be recognized lor good behavior
each month and given an award
sponsored by local merchants.
The first group of winners was
announced Oct. 11 and is as fol

pleted a two-week field officer
training course at the Justice Aca
demy in Salemburg.
The course is designed to give
the candidate the leadership skills
necessary to objectively review and
evaluate the performance of trainees
to insure the best performance.

Airman Promoted
Senior Airman Steven R. Cooker
has been specially identified for ear
ly promotion to senior airman in the
U.S. Air Force.
The airman was awarded the new
rating ahead of other Air Forcc
members by a below-the-zonc pro
motion board which considered job
performance, military knowledge,
bearing and self-improvement ef
forts.
Cooker is the son of Steve F.
Cooker of Bolivia and Barbara M.

The heating systems specialist
has a wife, Deborah, and is sta
