ter concert Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7
p.m. in ihc school gymnasium.
Under the direction of Brian Ben
ton and accompanied by Julie Ben
ton. the school chamber ensemble,
concert chorus and concert band will
perform both seasonal standards as
well as classical tunes.
The music of composers Mo/art
and Mendelsohn will be featured,
along with Christmas favorites such

The bride is the daughter of Dr.
Robert E. and Patricia Hassler of
Shallotte.
Maid of honor for the bride was
Laura Jane Bailey of Raleigh. Other
bridesmaids were Carolyn Allgood
and Colleen Blondcll, both of
Raleigh: Peggy Mann of Sanford
and Jolanta Kellum of Greensboro.
Best man was Charles L. Mann

The bride wore a white silk gown
which featured a ballgown neckline
and (hhiI sleeves detailed with hand
beaded seed |varls. The bodice was
accented with dangles ol seed pearls
and oats. A ball-length skirt fell
from the deep basque waistline.
The gown also had a ballgown
back and was completed by a silk
bow edged with seed pearls and cen
tered with a rosette applique en
crusted with pearls. Seed pearls en
circled the hemline and semi-cathe
dral length train.
For her headpiece, the bride wore
a white silk bow edged with seed
pearls and centered with a pearl mo
tif. The three-tiered veil was of illu
sion.
She carried a small, while Bible
nestled in a spray of lilies and ivy.
The maid of honor wore a tea
length black velvet dress with a
round collar, long sleeves and a deep
V-back.
The bridal attendants each carried
a spray of white lilies and ivy.
A reception was held after the
ceremony at the Women's Club of
Raleigh.
The bride is a graduate of the
University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire,
Wis., and is a senior claim represen
tative at Allstate Insurance
Company in Raleigh.
The groom is a graduate of East
Carolina University, Greenville, and
is employed by the Juvenile
Services Division in the Eleventh
Judicial District.
After a honeymoon in Sandals
Resort, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the
couple will reside in Clayton.
