people on driving while impaired
charges during a busy day in court
last Thursday, Jan. 2, in Bolivia.
rhe holiday season has limited
the Brunswick County District
Court schedule to just one day over
the past two weeks. The normal
three-day District Court schedule
was io resume this week.
On the docket iasi Thursday were
306 items, including a number ol
DWI cases. Judge Jolly issued 10
active sentences from those DWI
charges.
Four l>\\ I defendants were or
dered io sjvnd seven days in jail,
and three were sentenced to 14 day s
m jail. Another six defendants re
ceived suspended sentences after
they were found guilty of DWI.
