Soulhport died Feb. 4 at his resi
dence.
The funeral was conducted Feb. 6
by Dr. Murray Page at Soulhport
Presbyterian Church. Burial was in
Cape Fear Memorial Park.
Perry was born Jan. 5, 1943, in
Newark. N.J., son of Elodia Mazzei
Perry of Boiling Spring Lakes and
the laic Norman Edward A. Perry.
He was a U.S. Marine Coips vcieian
and owner-operator of Cape Fear
Fabricators.
Perry moved to Soulhport from
Long Branch. NJ., over 20 years
ago, and was a member of Soulhport
Presbyterian Church.
Survivors in addition to his moth
er include his wife, Gail S. Perry of
the home; a son, Wesley Perry of
Soulhport; a daughter. Heather Perry
of Raleigh; and a brother. Wesley
Perry of Grand Rapids. Mich.

Mintz was bom April 24, 1920, in
Brunswick County, son of the late
Stephen F. and Mabel Ganey Mintz.
He was a member and elder of Cape
Fear Presbyterian Church and was
retired from Diliard Paper Company
alter 42 years of service.
He had served with the U.S.
Army in the Military Poiicc during
World War II.
Among the survivors arc his wife,
Thelma N. Mintz of the home; a
son, Gregory Caldwell Mintz of
Atlanta. Ga.; two sisters, Mamie
Skipper of Lcland and Eula Mac
Midget of Wilmington; and three
grandchildren.

Control Department.

late Luther P. and Nellie Brown
Hayes.
She retired after 25 years of ser
vice with Southern Bell Telephone
Company and was an active member
of Z;on United Methodist Church in
the Town Creek community.

Hospice Offers Grief Series
Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Inc. will offer a four-pan seminar to tcach
families how to deal with grief after a loved one dies.
"Living With Grief' will be offered in the conference room of the
Hospice office, 810 Princess St., Wilmington, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on
four consecutive Thursdays: Feb. 20, Feb. 27, March 5 and March 12.
According to a new release, the series is tk?igi?cu iu piOviuC infor
mation and a supportive network, as well as help in understanding and
coping with grief.
Cost for the series Is $15 and pre-registrauon is requested. Part
icipants are welcome to bring a "brown-bag" dinner.
