Supply Man Ordered To Pay $3,096 In Unpaid Income Taxes A Supply man has been ordered to pay the N.C. Department of Rev enue S3.096 in delinquent income tax withholdings that were not paid last year. Roger I). Robinson, of Route 2, pleaded guilty to failure to file a lax return and two counts of willful fail ure to pay taxes. According to the warrants filed Nov. 19 by T.G. Haley or the N.C. Department of Revenue office in Shallottc, Robinson failed to pay in come taxes in 1986 and 19X7. Robinson, who owns a logging company, also failed to pay income taxes withheld from employee pay checks in July 1991, the warrants state. Brunswick County District Court Judge D. Jack Hooks Jr. sentenced Robinson to two years in prison, suspended the sentence for two years and ordered that he properly file any income withholdings on lime. He was also ordered to pay the $3,096 within 30 days plus a SI(X) fine and court costs. The warrants state that Robinson had sufficient income requiring him to file and pay income taxes in 1*)X6 and 19X7. The deadline for filing 1991 in come tax returns is Aprii 15. Judge Hooks also heard the fol lowing cases for the period Feb 17 19: Daniel Atkinson, injury to person al property, N.C.
