The Rev. V.C. Potter officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angus (Mack) Bell of Winnabow. The groom is the son of Robert McDowell of Bolivia and Cathy McDowell of Long Beach. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a formal white gown of bridal satin with a sabnna neckline and leg-of-mutton sleeves. Appliques of sequins and seed pearls embellished the gown and the attached chapel train, which also featured a large bow at the waist. She carried a bride's Bible with Lavande purple roses, phalacnopsis orchids and babies' breath with white satin streamers. Cyndi Lanier of Winnabow, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Tabitha Hickman of Winna bow served as maid of honor. Also attending the bride were Leslie Pur vis of Nashville, Tcnn., Shannon Maultsby of Winnabow and Chrissy McDowell of Long Beach, sister of the groom. They wore identically-styled gowns by Shirley Cumbcc of Win nabow that featured a sweetheart neckline and puffed sleeves, and a full skirt with rosettes at die waist line and with a graduated hemline. They carried identical nosegays of whit Fuji chrysanthemums, pur pic irises, white daisies, pink minia ture carnations, purple staticc. pink astermercs and babies' breath. The sanctuary was decorated with similar flowers, including Queen Anne's lace and green palms. The groom's lather served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Mc Dowell of l.ong Beach, brother of the groom; Todd White and Jeff White of Bolivia, and Mitch Lanier of Winnabow. Ashley Bell of Wilmington, cous in of the bride, served as llower girl. Cory Ward of Winnabow was ring bearer. After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained with a reception in the church fellowship hall. A rehearsal dinner pig-picking was given by the groom's parents the evening before the wedding.
