Government Center at Bolivia.
Music, games, food and prizes

will be used to help seniors have
a safe and good lime at the party.

Slate Reunion
Members of the West Brunswick
High School Class of 1982 will hold
their lOth-year anniversary June 20
at die Joncs/Byrd Clubhouse at Sea
Trail Plantation, Sunset Beach.
Arrangements include heavy hors
d'oeuvrcs. a cash bar and a disk
jockey providing music.including
hits from the years class members
were in high school.
Cost is S22 per person. Those
planning to attend are asked to con

ey order, payable to "Class of
1982," no later than May 1.
The reunion is open to all class
mates, not just those who graduated.

writing skills test Tuesday, April 7,
from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at BCC's main
campus. The writing skills lest will

pus today (Thursday) at 5 p.m. to 9
p.m.

Myrie Will Defend County
Spelling Bee Championship
Leslie Myrie Jr. of Southport will
defend his title as county spelling
champion tonight as he competes in
his third Brunswick Countv Spelling
Bee.
Seventeen finalists in grades five
through eight from six schools will
compete at 7 p.m. today (Thursday)
in the cafeteria of Bolivia Hlc
mentary School for the title and for
an all-cxpcnscs- paid trip to compete
in the National Spelling Bee in
Washington, D.C. "Hie event is open
to the public at no charge.
Myrie was first runncr-up the first
year he entered the bee, then won
last year's bee and competed in the
nationals.
A seventh-grade student at South
Brunswick Middle School, ho is the
son of Gladys and Leslie Myrie Sr.
of Southport.
Other finalists scheduled to com
