Quilters Workshop The Carolina Shores Ladies Quilt ing Guild held a recent two-day workshop with Virginia Walton of Albuquerque, N. M. as guest lecturer. Participants learned to piece a 32 point variation Mariner's Compass, designed by Walton. They also learned about coordination of solid fabrics, traditional calico and mod ern fabrics, while milking the first quill dramatic or muted, antique or country. Walton is a nationally-known quilt designer, lecturer and teacher.
