Holds Revival Beginning May 6

for revival services that began May
6 at Lighthouse Mission Church of
Calabash and continue through
Friday, May 8.
Services arc at 7:30 p.m., with
special music, said Larry Ward, pas
tor.
Wallace spoke last in Shallotte
two years ago at a 19-church cru
sade at Shallotte Middle School.
"We really believe this three
night revival will be just as excit
ing," said Ward.
Revival Slated

Silver Hill.
Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.,
with special singing planned each
night.

The Rev. Sandy Saunders, a
Baptist minister from Fayetteville, is
the pastor of the week at The
Holden Beach Chapel, Rothschild
Street, Holden Beach.
Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.,
followed by worship at 1 1 a.m. at
the interdenominational chapel. A

lenge audience members and to en

of the Gospel on their lives, a news
release indicated.
No admission will be charged;
however, a love offering will be tak

Turkey Dinner Set
The United Methodist Women
(UMW) organization at Bethel
United Methodist Church in Bolivia
will sell turkey dinners at the church
on May 8, beginning at 10 a.m.
Dinners will include baked turkey
and dressing, string beans, potato
salad and cranberry sauce, at $3.50 a
plate.
Proceeds will be used for UMW
mission projects.

The Brunswick Hospital.
The funeral was April 30 at Mill
Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev.

was in the Bowling Family

Mrs. Bowling was born in Hyden,
Ky., on Aug. 7, 1913, the daughter
of the late Alex and Susan Loving
Vanover. She was a member of Mill
Creek Baptist Church and was the
widow of Roosevelt Bowling. Two
sons also preceded her in death,
James P. Bowling and Charles E.
Bowling.
Survivors includc three sons,
Larry L. Bowling, John D. Bowling
and William B. Bowling, all of
Bolivia; two daughters, Amanda
Gail Bowling and Anna Jean
Brown, both of Bolivia; 17 grand

Dicy Woods Muncy, 92, of Route
5, South port, died April 28 at her
home.

Bethel Baptist Church, where she
was a member, with the Rev.

in Antioch Baptist Church Cem
etery, Bolivia.
Mrs. Muncy was bom April 21,
1900, in Thousand Sticks, Ky., a
daughter of the late Lilbum and
Martha Keen Woods, and had lived
in South port since 1935. She was a
former licensed practical nurse, hav
ing retired from Dosher Memorial
Hospital with 30 years of service.
She was the widow of Bige
Muncy.
Survivors include their two
daughters, Ann Price of South port
and Evelyn M. Rickey of Palmer
Lake, Colo.; three sons, Edgar A.
Muncy of Hyden, Ky., Calvin M.
Muncy of Burner and Robert E.L.
Muncy of Ashcville, Ohio; a sister,
Grace McDowell of Boiling Spring
Lakes; 11 grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren. She was pre
ceded in death by a son, William
Keen Muncy.

Reynolds was bom in Cumber
land County and was a member of
Red Hill Pentecostal Church. He
was a U.S. Army veteran.
