With the title, "It's A Small World After All!" the event filled the gym with exhibits, artifacts, maps and research papers reflecting the histories of Europe, the Soviet Union, Asia, Africa, and North Carolina. Replicas of the Berlin Wall, English castles and African masks were among the student-made displays. Joselia Davis, chairperson of the social studies department, said the international theme was also carried out in talks by community members about their travels, and in the music, art and foods of other countries.
