"There arc a few minor problems thai I can't discuss at this time." Web Technologies Inc. of Oakvillc, Conn., reportedly has a tentative agreement to buy about 70 acres at the north end of the Leland Industrial Park for a factory that would make plastic film for food packaging, labels, ribbons and other products. "Let's face it, we do have a rela tively attractive tax climate," Monk said. He said the company was able to qualify for a state program that pro vides for $2,800 in tax credits for each employee. The tax breaks arc divided over a four-year period. Monk said Web Technologies was also attracted by the "fantastic training program" offered for its em ployees.
