Classes Set

The winter session of diabetes ed
ucation classes at The Brunswick
Hospital will begin Wednesday. Feb
2,
The classes will run from 2 p.m.
to 4 p.m. and will meet in the hospi
tal conference room, said Daphne
Yarbrough. hospital marketing di
rector.
The purpose of the program is to
educate diabetics about proper nutri
tion. exercise, eye care and foot care
associated with the disease. In addi
tion. participants learn about dealing
with the stress anil complications as
sociated with diabetes.
Classes are free and are open to
all diabetics, as well as any family
members involved in their care.
Registered nurses from The Bruns
wick Hospital will teach the classes,
which continue for six weeks.
Program participants will also be
invited to join the Diabetes Support
Group, which meets the second
Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in
the hospital conference room.
