wastewater treatment facilities to

Bayboro, N. C. This planning area
includes the towns of Bayboro,
Alliance, Stonewall, Meslc and
Vandomere. A Ml Wastewater
Facilities Study, as required by the
Environmental Protection Agency,
is new underway by Moore, Gardner
G Associates, Inc., Consulting
Engineers, to Identify the facilities
Headed to probe rtyserv this area
tqr the next M'years. The August 25
meeting is the second public hearing
to be held during the study. The
Objectives of these meetings are to:
1. Keep the general public in
formed of the purpose and scope of
the studies and the environmental,
economic, and other effects further
wastewater facilities will have.
1. To obtain from the general
public and interested parties:
opinions, advice, and Information
concerning wastewater handling
needs In the area so that these can be
considered in the study.
The purpose of the second meeting
Is to present the waste treatment
alternatives, discuss the advantages
and disadvantages of each alter
native, and to salect tpe bast waste
treatment alternative -for the
communities.
Material to be presented at the
public hearing will be on display at
the . County ASCS office for two
weeks prior to the hearing.

Enforcement here has told THE
PAMLICO COUNTY NEWS that
the portion of lower Broad
Creek called “Sllverthorne
Bay" has as of May 1 been
designated as a "No Wake
Zone”. An agreement between
the N. C. Wiidijfe Commission
end county commissioners was
reached earlier this year. Lanl
us says this will be enforced
by the enforcement division of
the Wildlife Commission.
