basic needs of the taxpayers.
2. Elward Jenette -1 am a life
long citizen of Pamlico County
and a graduate of Pamlico County
Training School. I am a former
employee of the County Sheriff’s
Department, for six years. Served
eight years as the first mayor of
Mesic. Served four years on the
Commercial and Sport Fishery
Advisory Committee of North
Carolina. Served two years on the
Board of Trustees of PTI. I am
presently serving on the Board of
Directors of the Pamlico County
Rescue Squad. My number one
priority for seeking election for
this position is in support of our
schools. However, there are other
things that are also important.
2. Charlie McCotter - Lifelong
resident of Pamlico County with
30 years’ experience in govern
mental agencies on local, state
and national levels.

in this office because I care about
Pamlico County. I have talked
with many people throughout the
County, and there is a strong feel
ing that there are needs the Coun
ty is responsible for that are not
being met.
2. Patsy Sadler - I have served
on the Board of Commissioners
for 7 years. I have served on the
Social Services board, Neuse Men
tal Health Board, Recreation
Board, and at present 1 am on the
Pamlico County Board of Health. I
know the people of Pamlico Coun
ty
2. Vince Sevenski I've had
almost 2 years’ experience as
County Commissioner. I’m in
terested in things that happen *
within the county and to the people
of the county.

years as Stonewall town commis

resident, allegedly went to his car,
removed a 12 gauge shotgun and
shot Moselle in the right lower ab
domen.
Moselle was being transported
in a private car to meet the
Rescue Squad when Lupton en
countered die car, escorting it to
Stonewall where Mozelle was
transferred to the ambulance.
Moselle died during surgery at
Craven County Hospital at ap
proximately 7:30 that evening.

teachers.

wrong book all year, no certifica

year and have the best subject

high school by guidance
counselor. At Pamlico Junior
High by assistant principal and
others.
“16. Whites only employed
beyond ten (10) months.
“17. Leveling program stops at
8th grade.
“18. Teacher (5th grade) made
black child eat chalk.
“19. Equal and fair treatment
for all teachers regardless of race,
creed of color.
“20. Why is lesser qualified
white staff member promoted to
assistant principal at the Pamlico
Junior High School while a black
much more qualified is not pro
moted to such (a) position?
“21. Black parents' complaints
about how their children are
treated at the Junior High get no
consideration while white parents'
complaints are given all con
sideration when possible.

and students want more good
black teachers and ad

Oriental Saturday afternoon.
The shooting, resulted in one
man being charged with first
degree murder.
