and demonstration of selecting and
fitting clothing.
Mrs. .Albert Keeter and children,
spent Friday night and Saturday with
Audrey and Dorothy, ' of Colerain,
her sister, Miss Gertrude Jackson
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Boyce had as
their guests over the week-end Miss
Kachel Ellis, Miss Louise Small, and
Miss Mazine Worrell, all of Gates
County.
. Gordon Boyce, who has been quite
ill, is much improved and will soon
.return to school.

R. S. Ward suffered very painful
injuries to his leg on Saturday, when
the horse he was driving jumped to
run.
Mrs. Mollie Ward, who has been
visiting relatives in Edenton, return

the school house Tuesday for its reg
ular monthly meeting.

wife. So, I am going to suggest here
a few desserts which I am certain
every member ot the family will
enjoy. And you may be sure they
are tried and tested because got
them from a 'famous chet and an
equally famous dietitian. The lat
ter especially stressed the import
ance and value oi pineapple in the
diets ot both children and adults.

Beat yolks ot eggs until thick and
creamy, add sugar and place In top
of double boiler and continue to
beat Add the pineapple juice and
flavoring. Remove beater and stir
well with a wooden spoon for
minutes longer. Keep water in bot
tom of the double boiler below the
boiling point or the mixture will
curdle.
Serve hot In small sherbet glasses
with a few lady lingers on the plate.

apple juice in double boiler until
tapioca is clear, stir frequently.
Combine yolk and sugar, pouring a
small amount of tapioca mixture
over the egg and sugar. Return to
double boiler and cook until thick,
ened. Remove from fire and add
cocoanut Cool, and told In egg
whites and vanilla.
Baked Peaches
11 medium (lied peaches
4 eup Hawaiian pineapple Juice
H eup tusar
Thin cream
. Pour boiling water over peaches,
rub off skins and place peaches close
together in a baking dish. Sprinkle
with sugar, pour over the pineapple
juice, cover and bake about 20 min
utes, then remove cover and allow
fruit to brown slightly. Serve hot
with thin cream.
