It was quite a surprise for Mrs. ' Chappell, : the guests arrived while she was away, and when the entered the room, she was greeted with, "Happy Birthday." The honoretf received many attrac tive and useful gifts. ' A beautiful birthday cake with 75 candles was presented to Mrs. ' Chappell. Surprise Birthday Celebration The family and o host of relatives gathered at the home of Mr. W. M. Eason Sunday morning, March 31, and gave him a real birthday sur prise, the occasion being his 72nd birthday. After many birthday greetings were extended, and gins presented, tables were grouped to gether in the dining hall and a real birthday dinner was spread. A large birthday cake was used as the center piece. After thanks were offered by E. G. Blanchard, a most enjoyable time was spent eating- in piyuc style.
