Mrs. Perry's fath er, John Dobson, of Huntington, who is at present visiting his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Dobson, in Edenton, is making his first visit in the Albemarle in 25 years. Mrs. Rosser Brinn spent Friday in Norfolk. Mrs. W. J. White, Sr., of Oriental was a recent guest of her sister, Mrs. W. M. Morgan. J. H. Goodwin, former Perquim ans resident, who now lives at Smithfield, Va., was in Hertford on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Campbell, with a party of friends from Raleigh, are spending two weeks at Nags Head. Mrs. John Speight, of Mocksville, is visiting her sisters, Mrs. Thomas Nixon and Mrs. Nathan Tucker. Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Darden and their two daughters, Nancy Coke and Elizabeth, will spend next week at Nags Head. Mrs. C. L. Copeland of Beach Spring, who recently underwent an operation at a Norfolk hospital, is much improved and was in town on Saturday. Mrs. Ephriam Forehand of Beach Spring, Mrs. W. W. Trueblood and Miss Elizabeth Trueblood of Winfall returned Tuesday night from a two weeks visit to friends in Charlotte, Spartanburg and Greenville, S. C, Atlanta and Columbus, Ga. Miss Evelyn Brown of Edenton is visiting Miss Penelope Tucker thfis week. Frank Kugler spent the week end at Washington and Beaufort. Misses Leah Nachman, Joyce Stokes and Mary Lou Perry spent the week end at Nags Head. Mrs. J. R. Futrell and her little son Richard spent Monday in Hert ford with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. White. Leslie Harrell spent the week end at Nags Head. Mr. and Mrs. T. S. White and Mrs. Evart Newby, who were spending some time at Nags Head, were called home Sunday by the death of Dr. G. E. Newby. Towe and her little son, Joe, have returned from a visit to Mrs. Towe's parents near Elizabeth City. Miss Elizabeth Morris, who is a student nurse at the Stewart Circle Hospital in Richmond, Va., under went an operation at the hqspital on Monday of this week. Her mother, Mrs. C. P.
