J. S. Vick Lands Big
Carp Under Bridge
A fish weighing 14 pounds and 6
ounces was cauxht with an ordinary
hook and line In the Perquimans Riv
er, under the bridge, at Hertford, on
Saturday.
: ; The fish, a carp, was caught by J.
S. Vick. keener of the bridge, i who
says that he had previously broken
several lines and lost a hook or two
m an effort to land one of the big
fish.
This particular speciman is not so
big when it is considered that a carp
sometimes attains the weight of .4'
pounds, but so far as can be learned
deceased, late of Perquimans County,
North Carolina, this is to notify all
persons having claims against the es
