John E. Eaves, the occasion be

The guests had all assembled at the
, home of Mr and Mrs, Louis E. Eaves
when the honoree was Induced to go
to the home on a pretext. As she
entered the room the waiting guests
rose and greeted her with a chorus of
"happy birthday.", ; '., -, ; ;.- - .
The room was decorated with white
rose of sharon' and multi-colored
iJnias.
There were two contests, the win-
ners . of which were Sadie Vivian
Harrell and William Bateman,' both
presenting the 'prizes to the honoree.
-The little granddaughter, Alma Lee
Eaves' and little Edna; Ruth Lane
entered the room bearing a large bas
ket covered with white and pink, and
laden with gifts fojf the guest of

- Mrs. Si L Cullipher,: a former
school mate Of Mrs. Eaves, presented
the honor guest a with- a beautiful
birthday cake, with the words "happy
birthday" outlined, in pink.
t Delicious ice cream and cake were
served by the hostesses, assisted by
Mrs. A. M. Riddick, Mrs.' Reuben
Stallings and Mrs. S. I. Cullipher.
