Mr, Parker Monds
PassesTo His Reward
After nearly three weeks of suf

loved one, Parker Monds, passed to
his reward. He was 75 last January
2nd, the son of William and Harriett
Monds, - All service ; that medical
skill, loving hands and friends could
do was rendered, but God saw best,
so He took him to rest from his toil
and care, to meet his - companion,
"Anna ' Byrum Monds" of over 50
years who preceded him 3 years ago
last March.
; He leaves a son, Thomas Edward
Monds, a daughter, Martha Monds,
four grandchildren, all of Tyner; a
brother, Rev. Riley Sidney Monds, of
Hertford; a sister, Mrs. Isaac Jordan,
of Ballards Bridge; many nieces and
nephews, and a host of friends.
- The' funeral was conducted at the
home by his pastor, Rev. , Frank Cale,
of Centet Hill Baptist Church, assist
ed by Rev. R. E. Walston, of the
Center i Hill Methodist Church. His
favorite' hymns were sung by a
quartet composed of Rev. Frank
Cale, L. W. Belch, Mrs. J. Tim
White and Mrs. Joe Byrum, accompa
nied by Miss Dorothy Perry: "Lord,
I Am Coming Home" and "Does
Jesus Care?" . A solo, "Sometime
We'll Understand" was rendered by
Mrs. J. Tim White. Interment was
made in the family cemetery near
the home by the side of his wife. At
the graveside ."The Old Rugged
Cross" was sung by the quartet. The
sacred mound was covered with

QUEBEC The Province of Quebec, thumbing the pages of Its colo

to annual production of 810,000,000 worth of merchandise, much of
: which is sold by the habitants or natives to me American tourisus.
frnintlres "fireside factories" like the one shown here dot the pic
turesque countryside in a comeback of old Frcnca-Canadian do
mestic arts which is being encouraged by the Government through
establishment of a Provincial School of Handicraft.
Historic Romance
A vivid screen parallel to the real
life romance of the title heroine is
offered in "Annie Oakley," dramatic

by Preston Foster and Melvyn Doug

IN MEMORIAM
In loving memory of my dear
husband, Archie Ray Miller, who left
me one year ago today, May 28, 1935.
To youi grave I often wander,
Flowers I place with loving care.
And I feel that you are near me
While I sadly linger near.
I often sit and think of you
When I am all alone,
For memory is the only thing
That grief can call its own.
Could you ask me if I miss you
Yes, it fills my heart with pain.
But your spirit sweetly whispers,
Courage, we shall meet again.
Devoted wife, Effie T. Miller.
