Roland Parrish of Norfolk spent the week-end with his parents Mr. New Officers .Elected ,For Chapanoke Club The Home Demonstration Club met Tuesday afternoon ...with Mrs. John Sympns. The' meeting was opened by singing )f Sntile'VCafter -which the collect' was repeated. - ; Officers for the year were elected as follows? Miss Mildred Lewis, pres ident; Mrs. C. P. Other officers will be elected later; v-:-' j; ;?7'v ; , Miss Gladys Hamrlck gave a very interesting , talk , about the Federation Meeting and " thanked the club for the cooperation in making an exhi bit... She also told those present about the council meeting to be held the first of January. The demonstration this month was Christmas sugges tions, she displayed several gifts that were practical for Christmas. The club is glad to have the Wood ville Club join, with them. There were 17 members present and one visitor. At the close of the meeting a social hour was enjoyed and deli cious refreshments served by the hostess. WINFALL NEWS Hertford, have moved here and are occupying the Jessup home. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Jessup recently moved to Hertford. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Winslow, Jr., motored to Norfolk, Va., Sunday. Miss Alma Leggett and Miss Lor na Brothers, motored to Elizabeth City Sunday, to see the airplane circus. Miss Lucile Long spent the week end at her home near Hertford. Miss Myrtle Umphlett spent Sun day in Bayboro with friends. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Daughtry spent last week-end with Miss Dona White. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Earnhardt and son Jimmy, Jr., were visitors at Mrs. W. J. Hollowell'8 Sunday.
